There's a KFC around the corner from our house ... I didn't even know it was there until one day I saw a bunch of protesters picketing it (not sure who they were; possibly PETA). I wondered what they were up to, took a closer look, and -- wow! It's a KFC! So I've since gone there a couple of times for some Kentucky Fried Crisco. I haven't been in a while, though, so I probably haven't experienced the trans-fat-free variety.

Anyway, the moral of the story is, be careful what you picket. You might not attract the kind of response you're expecting ... ;-)

Oh my. Thanks for the heads up. Not like I'd be eating at KFC anytime soon, but hubbie always watches the commercials and says, "why does that always look so good?"

The KFC closest to our house (which is a good drive already) has ran us away as customers. You'll never believe why. Because the last 3 times that we've driven over there to get some chicken (in the last 9 months or so) they've been out of............wait for it.............CHICKEN! How does a chicken restaurant run out of chicken at 4 in the afternoon? It kind of cracks me up even if I did just waste a trip. Last time I called ahead and asked "Do you have any chicken" and the person on the other end laughed and hung up on me. I guess he thought I meant "Do you have Prince Albert in a can?"
