Goddamn it, it’s 2008. Two thousand and EIGHT! Would morons please stop sending me those stupid goddamn “pass this on to 15 people or you’ll have bad luck” emails. I know everyone complains about them (email forwards are to bloggers as airline food is to stand-up comics) but it seems the right subset of our society is not getting the message. Stop it!

And all of the fuckmuffins who don’t check Snopes before passing on those manipulative stories or amazzzing photoshopped photos that you think are oh-so-real… I WILL use my dusty “reply to all” button and make you look stupid in front of your entire mailing list next time.

I love kiwi fruit, but I can’t eat it if I see a whole fruit with the skin on. Because it looks like a big spider body. I’m getting physical dry heaves just thinking about it.

But peel off the spider body fur (away from my line of sight), and that’s a good fruit!

EDIT: Corrected title so that “testicle” is spelled correctly. Holy hell, what kind of crappy nurse am I?

Working at home is awesome!

My coworkers aren’t much help though.

Just before taking this picture, Senorita Katie Scarlett McPumpkinbutt of Steve Perryville (the cat) was kneading Moose’s chest to help him relax.  It was so CUTE!

Ignore the mess in the background.  I have a DRESSER full of rubber stamps from back when I was a big crafter, and I’m pulling them out of the dresser and putting them in long-term storage.

I keep having really unsettling, yet real-feeling dreams about my job.

For example:  The night before last I dreamt I was fired.

Last night I dreamt that I quit my job, just walked out of the office (except it wasn’t the office I was at with my current job, it was more similar to the one I had at my last job but much bigger - it was a huge call center).

I just walked out and told one of the nurses I was quitting.  Then I went into a store and went to pay for something and realized - I don’t have a job!  I shouldn’t have quit!  So I was frantically trying to call the nurse to tell her, “Don’t tell anyone I quit!  I changed my mind!” and I went home and for some reason I lived with my mother.  The whole dream, all environments were dark and shady looking, like you’re in buildings in the daytime with light coming in the windows but no electric lights on inside.  I woke in a panic about how I was going to pay my bills.

Maybe I’m so happy to finally have a job that is an almost perfect fit for me that I’m afraid of messing up and losing it?  Any other thoughts?

I hope it stops soon.  It really messes up my mood!

Had dinner last night with my friend Elizabeth from work. It was great seeing her - she’s one of the ones I miss most from the office. We went to Ted’s Montana Grill which was FABULOUS I thought.

Tonight, one of the trainers from Nashville is in town. I adore her - she’s the one who trained me and has been a good friend, listening to me whine time after time when I was at the end of my rope at my job.

Tomorrow my friend Tonya is passing through town from Icky-ta. I miss her loads but her trip is so long - she’s going all the way to the mountains - that I don’t think we’ll catch each other this time.

Saturday I may go up and have drinks with a couple of the gals from the office after they get off work.

Not bad for a homebody hermit, huh?

I don’t have the attention span for games that are hard to learn, like The Sims. I don’t have any interest in fighting or shoot-em-up games like World of Warcraft or other battle games.

I like simple puzzle games that you don’t have to be too smart to play.

Radmila had a link to a new game on her site, which inspired me to share.

So here are my favorite games.

  • Marbles (free, no registration required)
  • Griddlers (free registration, then click on “puzzles” after you log in)
  • Sudoku (free registration required - I also love Super Collapse on this site too)
  • Sherlock - Now this has free demo download to try, but I’ve been addicted to it since like 1996 or something.  It’s old school in look but I love it.  In fact I bought it once, lost it in a computer crash, then bought it again.  And I’m too cheap to buy things usually.

I used to LOVE getting drunk in front of my computer and playing an interactive game with an online friend at one of the free gaming sites for multiple players.  I liked playing yahtzee, hearts, othello, or monopoly.  I’d play scrabble too but I’d suck at it.

Alas, no more online friends that like to play games like that with me on Friday nights. :(
