Still not exercising much, but food-wise things are going good. No beer this week; just some vodka in my low-sodium V-8 one night.

I can’t let myself focus on the scale, especially since I know my weight loss will slow down from this point on. Some helpful reminders from a Jenny Craig email:
Weight loss is only one measure of success. Today, and in the weeks ahead, periodically ask yourself these questions and reflect on what your positive answers mean.
Are my clothes fitting better? You’re getting slimmer.
Do I feel more energized? You’re building vitality.
Am I losing inches? You’re losing body fat.
Am I more relaxed? You’re conquering stress.
Am I making healthier choices? You’re creating a balanced lifestyle.

I met my 5% “Heart Smart” weight loss goal yesterday. By losing 5% of your body weight, you reduce your heart disease risk, as well as your risk for certain cancers.
I cheated very badly last night. Had THREE snacks yesterday instead of one; had two salad dressings instead of one. I think the reason for my binge is that I’ve been out of fruit for three days, and I’m really missing it! To the grocery store today.

I don’t know if my weigh-in two days from now will be anything to celebrate.
1) I’ve had extra servings of fruit the past four days. We’re allowed SOME extra servings, but how do you measure fresh cherries?
2) Last Sunday I met a coworker for a working dinner. Ordered a chicken breast dish, but it came covered in cream sauce. I ate half of it anyway (it was costing me 15 bucks!). I also had two beers. (I regret nothing!) The worst part of the dinner was that the menu said nothing about it coming with mashed potatoes or i would have asked them to replace it with veggies. But I didn’t know, and when the taters were in front of me, well… I ate half.
3) Last night I ate an extra Jenny snack before bed. I also had some vodka (in low-sodium V8).
I’ve also been so busy that I’m missing my afternoon snacks so I come home starving.
And such has been my week from hell.
I won’t be discouraged if I didn’t lose weight this week though. Next week is another week!

I was so swamped this week, I didn’t have time to eat and missed some of my required meals. But the victory of this week was that I turned down chinese food provided by my employer, and I gave away all of my beer 8 days ago and haven’t missed it. YAY!
I have not yet started an exercise regime and probably won’t have time to for at least another two weeks. But I’m not going to stress about it or see it as a failure. I need to focus on how awesomely I’m doing with my food intake.

Lost 1.8 pounds, which is a miracle given how much beer I drank this week.
So on Friday, I brought all my beer to work and gave it away. Goodbye, my love!

Last night I was upset about something and drank 2 beers. But I did not overeat, and that’s a start. Still, I have to find another way to cope when I’m upset.
Since I had 2 beers, I lost weight this morning of course (water loss) but it will be interesting to see what my weight does over the next three days. Even though really I shouldn’t be paying attention.
Still not exercising. I have a cut on my foot that makes just walking to my car a painful experience.
